During that time of transition and as a way of preparing for his next pursuit Dan enrolled in The Master’s Program, a three year coaching curriculum taught by coaching entrepreneur, Bob Shank. Through that experience Dan discovered a great passion for helping other high level achievers who are in the midst of business, career or life transitions, seeking their next level of achievement. It was through The Master’s Program that he began to develop his own coaching style.
Although Dan graduated many years ago from The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Finance, he continues to further his training and education through many personal and academic endeavors. Currently he is enrolled at The University of Texas at Dallas in a graduate level coaching curriculum. Dan and his wife, Tee, reside in Dallas, Texas and recently celebrated 37 years of marriage. They are proud parents of two adult sons: Cecil and his wife, Sharra, of Plano, Texas; and Marc and his wife, Haley, of Aurora, Illinois.
Besides coaching others, much of Dan’s “second half” of life is devoted to community, church, and charities. He currently serves on the board of directors of Charis Hills, Inc., which operates camping programs for children with severe learning disorders. In addition, he serves as trustee on other boards including: The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee; Canterbury Episcopal Preparatory School; and The Episcopal Foundation of Dallas. Dan is a member of the International Coach Federation.
